Okay, I gotta say this before I get into this review...because I'm watching freakin' Heroes too, right now (what can I say, I multi-task) and... TIM KRING YOU FIX HEROES BY KILLING PLOT-IMMUNE ANNOYANCE, SYLAR, NOT BY CONTINUING WITH THE OMGINVINCIBLESMISOGYNIES!!
....And you still FAIL @ writing women.
NOW...On to Lakeview Terrace, with its laughable trailers saying everything but what the film is really about outright *psst!* it's reverse-racism, ya'll!!, it's everything you expect.
Sammy's still somehow being likable Sammy even in a crap film. But everyone and everything else is as bland as rice cakes, including the couple. And so, I wished for their demise, which I don't think was the effect Neil "niccageinabearsuit"LeBute was going for.
Patrick Wilson who is usually great at making plain guys interesting, is just boring here. Kerry Washington, who I think is a talent, regardless, continues to say her lines like she's chewing a cookie.
All-around between the ham-handed handling of the race issue, the lack of any real thrills in this thriller, and the boredom, this movie sucked sloth-booty.
Sammy was the lone bright-spot and that just isn't enough, when he isn't given anything to do.
Channel surf, pause, surf-on.PARENTS: Nothing too objectionable, but a bikined adolescent girl "popping it" (pelvic thrusts in a dance) did make me most uncomfortable, of the PG-13 "sex" here.
P.S. HEROESSPOILER!!!
...And Super-Duper Mohinder?? = LAME!!!
And Heroes continues on down the failslope.
*sigh* I really wanted to see this get better, but. Just. No.

Did someone say "Nic Cage in a bear suit?"
Haha - I love The Wicker Man, for no better reason than that the ending features Cage getting burned alive.
I'm only half-joking... ;)
@fletch
Dude, Nic Cage in a bear suit is enough for me. :D
@fletch
...Uhh, I swear I'm not a furry.
TOTALLY kidding, there.
